Morehead appears as conductor and pianist on a new CD, Brass Rail Blues, works by composer Patricia and Philip Morehead, recently released by Navona Records.

Maestro Morehead was a coach/pianist on the staff of the Bel Canto Institute in Florence July 2013, working with a group of talented young singers on the bel canto repertoire.

Maestro Morehead conducted two student performances of Die Zauberflöte (The Magic Flute) at Lyric Opera of Chicago on January 26 and 28, 2012. The cast included Paul La Rosa, René Barbera, Kiri Deonarine, Jennifer Jakob, and Audrey Luna with the Lyric Opera Orchestra.

Mo. Morehead conducts “Words and Music”, a new music theater work by Gustavo Leone.

This August Maestro Morehead returned to the Festival Lyrique-en-mer on Belle-Île, France, to conduct performances of Donizetti’s L’Elisir d’amore.

On June 29 and July 1, 2011, Maestro Morehead conducted two in-house performances of Mozart’s Così fan tutte with the fabulous young artists of Lyric Opera of Chicago’s Ryan Opera Center, directed by Loren Meeker and played by Craig Terry and Alan Darling.

Morehead has joined the board the the Conductors Guild, a music service organization devoted to the advancement of the art of conducting and to serving the artistic and professional needs of conductors. The organization, founded in 1975, has nearly 1,600 members worldwide.
