Mr. Morehead will return to Illinois to conduct Puccini’s Tosca for Soirée Lyrique on April 29, 2018.
This staged production of Puccini’s opera will be performed with a reduced orchestra provided by Chamber Music on the Fox.
The magnificent First United Methodist Church of Elgin will set the stage for an impressive production by an all-star cast. Ukrainian soprano Tetyana Torzhevska will be in the leading role of Floria Tosca, tenor Simon Kyung Lee as Mario Cavaradossi, Metropolitan Opera baritone William Powers will be in the role of Scarpia and Aaron Wardell will perform the role of Angelotti.
