Mr. Morehead will return to Illinois to conduct Puccini’s Tosca<\/em> for Soir\u00e9e Lyrique<\/a> on April 29, 2018.<\/p>\n

This staged production of Puccini\u2019s opera will be performed with a reduced orchestra provided by Chamber Music on the Fox.<\/p>\n

The magnificent First United Methodist Church of Elgin will set the stage for an impressive production by an all-star cast. Ukrainian soprano Tetyana Torzhevska<\/strong><\/a> will be in the leading role of Floria Tosca, tenor Simon Kyung Lee<\/strong><\/a> as Mario Cavaradossi, Metropolitan Opera baritone William Powers<\/strong><\/a> will be in the role of Scarpia and Aaron Wardell<\/strong><\/a> will perform the role of Angelotti.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
